Wehrli's Vacuum Center

What To Clean

So many people use their vacuum only for carpets and rugs.  Get more use out of your vacuum, not to mention a cleaner house, when you vacuum these things:

  • Corners, high and low
  • Ceiling fans
  • Chandelier chains
  • Lampshades
  • Air vents (take them off and vacuum inside, too!)
  • Suits, jackets & hats (they get really dusty sitting in closets!)
  • Bookshelves (plus the books)
  • Picture frames
  • Baseboards
  • Drapes, blinds & valances (front & back)
  • Smoke detectors (they become less sensitive with dust buildup)
  • Mattresses
  • Cushions
  • Porches & balconies
  • Light fixtures (outdoor ones too!)
  • Upholstered furniture (all sides at least twice a year)
  • Cabinets (inside drawers & underneath toe kicks too)
  • Automobiles
  • Computers, monitors & keyboards
  • TVs and components
  • Speaker grilles
  • Window sills & screens
  • Stairs including edges & risers (they hide dirt!)
  • Clothes dryer exhaust vents & filters
  • Garages (floors, high corners & lights –less dirt in the garage means less dirt coming into the house)
